Ax's Friday Night 4E Campaign
This massive city is the capitol of the powerful country of Lankhmar. It has benefited greatly from the patronage of the great wizard Abernathy and its architecture reflects this. The buildings themselves are works of art, bending and twisting in ways that seem to defy physics. Its magically created spires reach to imposing heights, the top levels of which are connected by impossibly slender bridges. The center of the city is dominated by Abernathy’s tower, the tallest structure in the city. It is said the the rooms within the tower touch other realms in the multiverse and is protected by a complex array of magical traps and fantastic creatures.
Population: Roughly 32,000.
History: The nation of Lankhmar has traditionally been a benevolent power in Tellyr and Imrryr specifically was a center for trade, the arts, and learning. Recently however, the nation has closed its borders and launched a military campaign against its neighbors to the west; Tyrinthul and Saldea. It has allied itself with Athas and the always aggressive nation of Erona and seems to be looking to the east now. In response to this unexpected aggression, several nations in the north and east of Tellyr have formed a Coalition to oppose Lankhmar. These include Fairhaven, the Elsir Vale, the tribes of The Blasted Lands, the merchantile island of Dornaithos, the island magocracy of Nefelus, and the city-state of Sherrbyr.
